Taking the next step:
2/11/12 - The new year has been a little busy in our personal lives. We've had several family members make their final trip home, lots of sick kids and everything else that happens in life. But God is good and faithful. As you can see if you check out our 2012 schedule, we are going to be pushing ourselves a little bit and going to National Quartet Convention for the first time. I hope all of you who have been asking us why we haven't been their yet stop by our booth.
We've also started planning and working on our bus. (You can click on the pictures for a bigger look) The plan is to have it ready by late April before our schedule starts taking off. Please continue to pray for us - that we would have a proper balance between family and ministry, safety as we travel and that above all else, we would always be brining glory to our heavenly Father.
11/24/11 - Well, here we are on the
other side of the year. Things have been BUSY. We got our new CD
done. Like most things in life, it was more work and took longer than we
originally thought, but we now have it! It's our best to date (which is
what we strive for each time). We're also now on Facebook, so look us up!
In addition to a busy schedule this summer, Chad and Angela (with a tremendous
amount of help from Dave) put on an addition to their little house, so now it's
not so little. It's not finished, but inspections are done and walls are
getting insulated and sheet rocked.
The next project for Hear By Faith
- finish converting a 45 foot tour bus, hopefully in time for next summer's
schedule.

5/6/11 - We are sitting at our
table at the Twin Cities Quartet Convention. It's so good catch up with
groups we know and meet new folks as well. We kind of threw a few people
because our first set was all with new tracks (Mom didn't go up with us), but
don't worry, she isn't going anywhere.
Making more progress on the new CD. No exact release date, but we are
getting closer!

4/22/11 - A few bumps in the road,
but things are moving along with our newest project. We figuring out the
layout and graphics and final mix down. Working on getting all the
business pieces in place before promoting Paul and Silas to the radio
stations. Timing hasn't been as we planned, but we know it's not all on
our timetable anyway.

3/17/11 - We've finished up primary
recording today and realized that we did not have an a cappella song
included...we can't have that! So we are going back into the studio
tomorrow to lay down one more song. As we were working today, one of our
members made a comment along the lines of putting extra punch in our delivery of
songs, but the words were just too fun for me to pass up. I joked that it should be tag line for our CD: Hear By Faith - "Puttin' da uff-dah
in Southern Gospel Music."

3/12/11 - The tracks arrived
several weeks ago and we've been spending a lot of time getting all the details
worked out. We go into the recording studio this next week (15th-18th) and
while there have been several bumps along the way, we continue to trust that God
to bring it all together.

2/01/11 - Thank you to all you who braved the winter weather to join us on New Year's Eve. We had a wonderful time and would like to turn it into an annual event!
As we talked a little about that night, we were looking at recording a new CD and promoting one of Deanna's songs. We are excited to say that thanks to your generosity, we have been able to complete the first few steps of that process. We've picked the songs, some old, some new, and have a group of musicians in Tennessee who are recording new background tracks for us. We should have the scratch tracks in the next few days so we can work with them and get ready for step two - going into the studio to lay down our vocals. I'll try to keep updating the site as we progress through this process.
We are looking forward to whatever God has planned for us. Please keep
us in your prayers!

12/01/10 - As you have seen on our latest project, we were blessed to have Deanna write several of our songs. We have currently be presented with the opportunity for them, as well as other songs, to have national radio play. Once again, God has put something before us that never crossed our minds when we first started singing. The potential impact this could have on our ministry has our heads doing a little spinning. Although we are thrilled, we also want to be cautious not to let this change us into "professionals." We want to improve our music, but we don't want this to become just a business. We ALWAYS want the focus to be on our Lord and Savior whither we sing to 5 or 5,000.
Please join us at our New Year's Eve concert as we share more about this possible next step. If you are unable to join us (and even if you can join us) please keep us in your prayers; that we wouldn't rush ahead of where God leads, but also that we don't hinder what He is doing.
Hear By Faith history:
Hear
By Faith
formed in 1998 during rehearsals for a musical that was being put together at
their home church, Hermantown Community Church. They were simply a few college
age kids who loved to sing.
Over the next years, this young group’s ministry has grown beyond anything
they originally imagined. They have had the opportunity to sing at a concert
with The Talley Trio, Greater Vision, Poet Voice, Palmetto State Quartet and the Florida Boys
as well as
opening for Signature Sound. Their concert schedule has expanded to include not
only their home state of Minnesota, but also Wisconsin, North Dakota, South
Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska.
The group is all about family. Deanna’s husband, Kevin, and two boys,
Michael and Cullen, are sometimes able to travel with us, but are always praying
us through. Chad and Angela bring along daughter Cadence and son Camden, and Nancy’s husband,
Dave, is the group’s road manager, driver, sound man, baby sitter and anything
else the group needs man.
Through their music and concerts, Hear By Faith strives to
provide close harmonies, close fellowship, and most importantly, a chance to
spend some time getting closer to our amazing God.
There have been many, many changes to their lives in the last 12 years.
From changes to the members in the group and addition to families to changes in
their "home" location. Through all the changes, God has remained constant.
Isn't that a reassuring truth to hold on to in the ever changing and chaotic
world we live in?
